Brewing as a Fund Raiser

For all of those homebrewers out there who also happen to be enjoy fundraising events, we recently stumbled upon an awesome fundraising idea for a school or other organization!

Recently, we got idea to host a brewing class as a fundraiser for a K - 8 school from another school's event. We put up a sign up sheet a week or so before the event ($20 per person).  The night of the class, we went through the process of brewing a pale ale with four participants.  Since we couldn't bring alcohol into the school while we were brewing, I decided to bring along some beer inspired snacks to munch on:

Jalapeno Cheese Cornbread

White Beer Cookies

We talked about kits, equipment, what it means to go "all grain" and everyone got to see how simple the process can be.  After we finished, we fermented the beer and home and then bottled it and delivered to our participants.  Lots of fun, we definitely plan on doing this one again!
